Fashion as a ritual of reconnection
Simone Camêlo’s work proposes a new approach within sustainable fashion: fashion as a ritual of reconnection. The artist transforms discarded materials — nets, fabrics, and threads — into garments that breathe presence and spirituality. Each stitch is a meditative gesture; each seam, a link between the visible and the invisible.
Her practice weaves intuition, listening, and ancestry, revealing the act of sewing as a channel of living energy. Simone’s clothes are not products — they are spiritual bodies, crafted to dress consciousness. In them, imperfection becomes language, error turns into breath, and waste is reborn as potential.
Her work opens a new field: that of regenerative ritualistic fashion, where handcrafting becomes a prayer and dressing, an act of communion with nature.
